The Peep Show @ AUM Gallery
Sep 19 @ 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
The Peep Show @ AUM Gallery | Denver | Colorado | United States

AUM Framing & Gallery is hosting “The Peep Show” from September 5 – October 4.   The opening reception is Friday September 5 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.   Normal gallery hours are Monday – Saturday, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm.

This exhibit will be the fourth in a series of the traveling carnival exhibit.  The Peep Show, inspired by Five Artists (Kathy Beekman, Penney Bidwell, Tim Flynn, Claudia Roulier, and Dave Seiler), is a dramatic mix of 2-D and 3-D artwork and explores people and places within known and surreal settings.

Historically a peep show was a form of entertainment depicting animals, people, and landscapes and was provided by wandering showmen. Nowadays it is more commonly a voyeuristic experience.  The viewer will be immersed within a surreal sideshow atmosphere with a focus on the carnival’s Peep Show. The theme will be expressed through a number of different artistic media and is to be a powerfully intimate and hands on experience for the individual viewer.

HOTEL MONACO DENVER TO HOST YOGA PANTS PARTIES IN SEPTEMBER

WHAT: To honor National Yoga Month, Hotel Monaco Denver is replacing their daily Wine Hour with a Yoga Pants Party taking place everyFriday in September starting September 12th. Finally, Lululemon Cherry Creek will be hosting a yoga pants pop-up store during the final Yoga Pants Party of the month on the 26th for people who need to stock up on yoga pants.

Odysseo @ Pepsi Convention Center
Sep 19 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Odysseo by Cavalia is the only 6-D show in the world. The unique theatrical production is first and foremost a grandiose three dimensional show where spectators are taken to a live Hollywood-style movie set while the touching interactions between human and horse are at the heart of the action. Layers of mesmerizing decors combined with gravity-defying acrobatic and areal stunts and the staggering effects created by state-of-the-art scenery makes this humongous stage a real 3-D feast for the eyes. To enhance this breathtaking experience, the production presents a splendid voyage with extremely high-definition computer graphic images, transporting the audience across the world’s most beautiful landscapes. To project these breathtaking 3-D graphic backdrops on an immense cyclorama the size of three IMAX screens, Odysseo uses projectors as powerful as those illuminating the grandest movie theaters. But whereas a cinema has only one projector, Odysseo uses 18 simultaneously.
This “live 6-D” voyage is a veritable revolution in live entertainment production. Odysseo is a show unlike any other on the planet.
