Cora Vette’s RestoMod Burlesque
Vintage, classic and built for speed…

Opening Oct. 3rd at the VooDoo Comedy Playhouse

Denver, CO— THURSDAY NIGHTS, opening October 3rd at 8:00PM at The VooDoo Comedy Playhouse (1260 22nd St, Denver, CO 80205), Cora Vette is opening a BRAND NEW show! Cora Vette’s RestoMod stars Cora’s VaVaVettes and Hot Rods in a show not to be missed!

In the style of the Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge, “It’s all just a little bit of history repeating”. RestoMod is performance art burlesque that combines classical style with contemporary flair. Performances that remind you of the best things in life: laughter, love, beauty and fun…Above all else…fun!

Why RestoMod? Well, a restomod is a classic car that retains its vintage styling, but the inside is updated and built for speed. That is the perfect way to describe this new show. Cora Vette’s RestoMod will feature both updated classics and contemporary songs with a classic approach. RestoMod will bring classic burlesque into the present and mix contemporary neo burlesque with the past.

This striptease and musical spectacular will feature fully staged group numbers choreographed by Gigi D’Lovely (a 10 year veteran of the burlesque stage), and costumes by Cora Vette custom crafted at her shop in the Wazee Union. This will be the biggest, most professional burlesque stage show that Cora Vette has mounted in her 6 years of experience as a burlesque show producer.

Cora’s production manager was the head flyman for the Mandalay Bay Theater, and head of automation for Mamma Mia! before returning to Denver. He is also her husband and affectionately named “Misther Cellophane” because he is mostly found behind the scenes. On Thursday nights, The VooDoo Comedy Playhouse will be transformed into a sexy salon style theater with footlights, leopard print curtains, tablecloths, candles…the works! The VooDoo Comedy Playhouse only seats 80 people, so this will be the most intimate, sexy night in Denver.

Cora Vette’s RestoMod opens the week after Cora returns from hosting her 5th year of the New Orleans Burlesque Festival (named one of the Top Ten Sexy Festivals in the World – gadling.com). She will be hosting a boylesque show called STRUT at Harrah’s Casino and The Bad Girls Of Burlesque at the House of Blues. The Bad Girls show will also be featuring the VaVaVettes! Then Cora Vette and the VaVaVettes are coming home to Denver and their new home at the VooDoo Comedy Playhouse.

Tickets for this intimate new weekly show are $20. But, for the month of October as a kick off special Cora is offering them at half price. Just enter the code RESTOMOD when ordering your tickets to get this special limited time deal.

Reyna Von Vett (aka Cora Vette) performed for more than one million guests over three years as Tanya in Mamma Mia! at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. She now runs 2 burlesque troupes The VaVaVettes (Burlesque) and The Hot Rods (Boylesque). The 2 troupes merge together this fall to star in Cora Vette’s RestoMod at the VooDoo Comedy Playhouse in Denver.

She has written two burlesque musicals, the critically acclaimed Victorian comic burlesque operetta, Leadville or BUST! and a pot opera called Reefer Mania: Denver’s Gone To Pot. As Cora Vette, she is your naughty hostess with the mostest. She is clad mostly in sparkle vinyl clothing that she makes herself creating costumes that have the longevity of a car seat and are ready for thousands of rear-end hours that she can happily provide.

Cora travels the country hosting national burlesque festivals – The New Orleans Burlesque Festival, Show Me Burlesque Festival in St. Louis, Hot Rods And Heels in Dallas, The Texas Burlesque Festival in Austin, The Southern Fried Burlesque Festival in Atlanta, The Miss Viva Las Vegas Burlesque Competition in Las Vegas, and the Southwest Burlesque Showcase in Albuquerque to name a few. She also frequently travels to New Orleans to host “STRUT” at the House Of Blues and Harrah’s Casino in the French Quarter.

Cora’s shows were awarded Best Burlesque Night and Best Boylesque Night by the Denver Westword in 2012. Cora Vette was named Local entertainer of the year by the readers of OUT Front Colorado in 2012 and 2013.
