So ladies, as you may know, I have been busy pre-planning Pride festivities and I already reserved my table at eden cuisine bar & lounge, 3090 Downing St., for most of this year’s notoriously outrageous Pride. And, not only is it PrideFest season, but eden is celebrating its one-year anniversary. The lesbian hotspot will be doing it up the entire weekend with DJ’s and drink specials galore. Here are my picks for the ultimate enjoyment of the lady-love Pride events. I suggest you start planning now too!

Friday, June 8: Social group Girls Pushing the Button is having the Pre-Pride Party at 5 p.m. at eden. Things are starting early, I like it.

Monday, June 11: The GLBT Center will host its pre-Pride Kickoff Party at Hamburger Mary’s, 700 East 17th Ave. I’m told they’ve got some “surprises up their sleeves.” Sounds like fun, and 10 percent of the proceeds from the night will go to the charity – always a good reason to party.

Friday, June 15: Babes Around Denver presents ‘Candyland Women’s Pride Party’ at Tracks, 3500 Walnut St. With a theme like “sticky and sweet,” need I say more to entice the lesbians to come out?

Saturday, June 16: The lesbian dykes will rally for the annual Dyke March. Gathering and rallying starts at 3 p.m. at Charlie’s, 900 East Colfax Ave., and 4 p.m. will kick off the march. I love any opportunity I have to march in the streets with a bunch of lesbians.

Saturday, June 16: The big Girl Pride event will take place at 8 p.m. at City Hall, 1144 Broadway. With six female DJ’s plus the cast from The Real L Word, the female entertainment makes this party a moral imperative.

Sunday, June 17 : The parade and day we have all been waiting for … it’s PRIDEFEST! I’ll be everywhere there is to be, and I suggest you do the same.

INSIDE HINT: El Diablo, the Mexican restaurant with the famous patio space, 101 Broadway, will be hosting a “Pride Courtyard” all weekend. It is family friendly and located near the activities at Civic Center Park. Plus, they have killer $1 tacos until closing. ]
